Vet visit

Look at the beauty waiting patiently at my vet’s on Saturday. I had stopped by to pick up some flea medicine and took the dogs for a short walk when we found the horse. Hope whatever illness he has is shortlived.

Landscape award

Saw this in the Wellstone Place neighborhood. Well deserved. I like the flowers and neatness of the yard.

Goal

I love the drama this lone basketball goal provides on this small, quiet street. Wellstone Place. During the summer the kids would play ball in the street until dark. With school, the street is mostly deserted.

Silverbrook

This tombstone along with others containing Hebrew and stars of David are in Silverbrook Cemetery. Neat, huh?

Partner and friend

I came upon a new cemetery in Chris Taylor Park, near the Civic Center. Really, it might not be new, as I lose track of how often I visit, but it was not there the last time I visited. In addition to the above grave, there are several canine partners of the Sheriff’s Office (which is near this side of the park). It makes me want to see such friends in action. I know I couldn’t pet them, but it would be great fun to see them at work. This cememtery seems to show how much they are valued as part of law enforcement.

Not an Anderson-specific photo. Hope you will forgive me the self-indulgence. I was lucky enough to spend Saturday with this beautiful little girl and her big brother. She’s getting ready to hug the bear in the above photo. Hope you all had a good weekend.

Creative spirit

Decorated mirror spied in a parked car downtown. The saying reads in part, “When you get what you want from your struggle for self, and the world makes you king for a day…” Intriguing, maybe?
