Yes, it’s October. Yes, the weather discourages even me from swimming in the lake. Yes, it’s getting dark earlier and earlier. But at least the grasshoppers katydids are hanging on. Summer’s not completely gone yet. 🙂
And on the earth-loving note, thank you, Sarah, for saving a tree. (Her blog can make me laugh and cry like none other. 🙂 )

Great shot! That is a katydid, very close relative of the grasshopper. I just found this out this summer.
