Lush Retreat

Filed under: Homes — lessie @ 6:01 am

It has been rainy — thank the Lord! We have really needed it, and with each thunderclap and flash of lightning (which greeted me early this morning), I think of Hartwell Lake and how much fuller it is becoming. The rain leaves the neighborhood with a “washed clean” feeling. Every color is richer, every flower more perky. It’s too wet for most yard work, so the absence of deafening power equipment leaves the streets quiet and hushed. I love the above house on Edgewood — especially after this recent rain and the flowering of the pink Dogwoods. Doncha just want to curl up in one of those brown chairs?

  1. I like this house too. This past weekend I noticed that those inviting chairs, the front porch and yard were filled with people, playing and enjoying each others company. I imagine they had visiting family for Easter. It was nice to see as I left several times from my street.
