Safety House

Filed under: Downtown — lessie @ 7:20 pm

Outside the downtown Anderson firestation is a travel camper with “Safety House” painted in large letters on the side. It has a rope ladder and a fire extinguisher and is used, I imagine, to educate children about fire safety. The sight of the safety house (with the cute kids in the pic above) reminds me how many local homes burn throughout the year — and that I haven’t checked my fire detectors in way too long.
