Warm Coats

Filed under: Churches, Schools, & Nonprofits — lessie @ 2:39 pm

In addition to food, a variety of coats were given away last Saturday at the Mana Truck food distribution, coordinated by Anderson Interfaith Ministries.

A recently heard and “loosely quoted” quote: “Brrr! This weather reminds me too much of the place I left — to escape the cold!” January and February are Anderson’s coldest months. It’s only in these months that I understand the need for the mittens, scarves, long underwear, wool sweaters, and lined boots showcased in the L.L. Bean catalog. I’m grateful for my trusty coat. I need to turn that gratitude into action for those without.
