Fresh apples

Last week when I visited my dad, he gave me fresh apples from Long Creek, South Carolina. I have fond childhood memories of traveling to the mountains in the Fall, primarily seeking fragrant apples, but also collecting bags of boiled peanuts along the way.

The above produce stand is found at the Anderson Jockey Lot. You can see a bit of the fall colors in the distance. Hope all your apples are crunchy and sweet.

  1. I’m not the biggest fan of the “JL”, but I love this picture. It makes me think of fall in the mountains of Tennessee when I lived there. I love the bands of color with the apples in the baskets and the leaves on the trees. Great picture. I can smell the apples!!!!!

  2. Can’t beat those mountain apples, but I’ll pass on the boiled peanuts. We like ’em roasted down here!
