Last Saturday. Yard sale down the street. It was fun to walk to it, enjoy the fresh air after the rain, meet the friendly neighbors, and examine their collection of children’s clothes and toys. When I saw this cute duck — I expected to open a box full of something fun, precious, and toy-like. Imagine my surprise when I pried up the metal top to find … a fuse box. Maybe? I closed it quickly in revulsion. I Googled the name, Midwest, and Midwest Electrical Products popped up. Sure enough, they use the duck as part of their logo for electrical parts. Who came up with that?

Well I don’t get the “connection” but isn’t it fun to rummage around yard sales?!

The company specializes in “outdoor” electrical products that resist the weather like “water off a duck’s back.” Product picture on website shows water beading up.
