Lake Hartwell, Broyles Recreation Area. Can you see the tiny white buoy in the distance, on the land? It looks like the trees were originally on an island, but because of the drought, it’s become a pennisula. (The water still felt great, though. 🙂 )

  1. Yes, the rain was much appreciated! We received 7+ inches. I didn’t realize it was so dry in South Carolina.

  3. I love the look of this photo…the colors…the way you framed the trees in the shot. The feeling it evokes for our drought situation however, makes me really appreciate this much needed rain too. Even the drops coming through my dining room ceiling (ugh).
