MLK Blvd

Filed under: Bridges, Roads, RRs & Transport — lessie @ 1:14 pm

Formerly known as Mall Road (because the road passes Anderson Mall), this major thorough fare now bares the name Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The new name was dedicated and the signs unveiled on the MLK holiday. I love that the road goes by the Civic Center (see in the photo above to the right) as well as connects to Anderson’s main artery, N. Main Street. (You can see one of Anderson’s Hooked on the Arts Fish above as well. 🙂 )

  1. I think most cities nowadays have something named after MLK.
