Anderson Heritage Book

Filed under: Arts Center, Bay 3, Visitors Center — lessie @ 7:56 pm

Nita is the vivacious lady in red on the right. I had the pleasure of spending time with her on Saturday at the Anderson Visitor’s Center, located at the Anderson County Arts Center. (Sorry the picture is so glarey — I STILL haven’t learned how to shoot in low light!) Nita is sharing the new Heritage Book, produced by the Anderson County Chapter of the South Carolina Genealogical Society. (You can see a bit of the historical photographs inside the cover.) This project was an enormous undertaking, and Nita participated in proof reading (which went on for quite a long time) and contributing articles and photographs. If you are originally from Anderson County, I have no doubt you’ll find something in the book interesting, if not the entire volume. I was fascinated by the section on Anderson County’s churches and historic homes.

  1. And the historic homes must be really beautiful! Nice post!

  2. Very nice photo. I think it looks OK in the available light.
