Gracie’s, a little diner on Murray Avenue that has been serving delicious food since the early ’80s. A friend and I enjoyed eggs and grits and grilled biscuits on Saturday morning. More pics are here.

  1. Are those grilled biscuits or English Muffins?

  3. Oooooo – breakfast!!!

Where on Murray is Gracie’s located? Still hunting for a good breakfast place in town – and not very successful with it (an nope, don’t care much for Denny’s or IHop)…

    Any others?

  4. Conni — My fav is downtown near the newly remodeled Chiquola, but on the Murray Ave. side: The Meeting Place. Best known for its meat and three — its breakfast is great too. Mama Penn’s — which has moved to a spot visible from N. Main. Driving toward downtown just past CVS on your left, Mama Penn’s is not too far down from there on the left. Then Gracie’s — the waitress said it is best known for its chicken fingers. It’s on the Lindley Park side of Murray Ave. Driving on Murray toward I-85, pass the rec center on your left and it’s on your right quite a ways down the road — up on a hill. Hope that helps! 🙂 Lessie
