FedEx Surprise

Filed under: Bridges, Roads, RRs & Transport — lessie @ 12:57 pm

Who knew FedEx delivers cars? Amazing cars, at that.

On Saturday I was walking a bit on River Street. Beautiful old homes. I returned to my car, in the abandoned parking lot of a former K-Mart?, and found quite an unveiling.

From Detroit to South Carolina and on to Florida, this FedEx driver was delivering big toys to big boys. 🙂 Tom, the excited owner of an antique Mercedes, was so nice I felt comfortable hanging around. The driver of the 18-wheeler had to move off three cars before he could reach Tom’s: they were a Morgan, a Cobra GT, and a Corevette. I had never even heard of a Morgan!

Tom’s car is really quite beautiful. More pictures are here.

  4. It’s a 1958 M-B 220S Cabriolet, a bit bigger than a 190SL. The old Kroger lot was a great place for drop-off.
