Red Barn

Filed under: Anderson County — lessie @ 11:56 pm

I love this glimpse of the past. Notice the electric lights. The owner tends this old barn well. Believe it or not, this isn’t far in the country. It’s on the figurative edge of Anderson. Centreville, most likely.

  1. Is that a tin roof, rusted to sort of match the barn’s paint? It looks like it’s metal, too. Is it? Looks like the wind was blowing pretty good when you took this picture.

  2. Hi, Lynette — You’re right, it is a metal roof. It’s probably painted like the sides of the barn, which look metal too. And you’re right about the wind! It was so temperate that morning. Only 80 degrees, with a pleasant breeze. Thanks so much for commenting!

  3. It is a nice shot of a barn you could park in Ohio almost anywhere and never realize it came from another state.
