Mall perimeter

Filed under: Restaurants and Commerce — lessie @ 3:57 pm

Anderson, though not a large city, is a retail hub for surrounding towns and counties. I’m no expert, but it seems the mall fad has faded somewhat, and the current retail trend is freestanding big box stores with supporting smaller stores nearby. That being said, Anderson still has a descent mall — and I’m so glad. The large anchor stores are Belk, J.C. Penny, and Sears. And it has smaller stores I enjoy like Bath and Body Works and Lane Bryant. I took a few minutes on July 4th to walk about the mall perimeter, and the landscaping is nice. I caught an older couple biking — and their example encouraged me to be more active.

  1. Your mall sounds similar to our mall. We have Belk, J.C. Penney and Goodys for the anchor, but sadly, no Bath and Body Works.
