I believe a strong spirit is a good thing, as is the freedom to express one’s feelings. Obviously my neighbor is proud of the flags he or she flies. I can’t help but notice the confederate flag is placed above our state flag. This placement causes me to believe that the flying isn’t an act of patriotism or pride of heritage, but rather a statement. A political statement? An ideaological statement? It’s an inferred statement I strongly disagree with.

  1. I agree. The confederate battle flag belongs in a museum. Sadly there are many who still smell gun power from the civil war all these years past.

  2. Interesting photo… Sometimes you see confederate flags on car stickers in the UK… Odd…

  4. i think that this is a symbol.. but not against anyone or anything. it is just to say “i am from the south and i am proud of that”. we have freedom of speech and of the press. this i think is there way of stating there views. i fly a confederate flag in front of my house and i see nothing wrong with it. i incourge others to do the same. No i am not racist. No i do not dislike the north. all i am saying is that i am from the south and i am proud of it. “im american made by my ma and pa, southern born by the grace of god”!

  5. I think the confederate flag is a good thing at least this person remembers who they are where they are from.I think people need to stop with all this racist stuff.Who cares how they fly it they are flying it.All the flags have a past story behind them and it isnt always about hate or skin color.Just remeber black and white was there fightning that war.Let the flag fly enjoy the beauty
