Fruit Bass-ket Fish

Filed under: Downtown, Hooked on Arts — lessie @ 4:01 pm

An elegant fish in the Anderson fish sculpture series, located on the grounds of the Anderson Farmer’s Market, its sponsor. This wiley one was hard to photograph, as it had been placed in front of a large A/C and eletrical unit! Other images are here.

I was delighted to discover a Web site dedicated to this fish series called “Fish out of Water, Hooked on the Arts.” The Web site explains that the series was initiated in 2004, which I imagine is why some of the creatures are rather weather worn and many have disappeared — probably to their respective sponsors. I wish I had been photographing Anderson during that time. The fish as displayed on the site are quite varied and beautiful.

  1. I agree – lovely fish on their website, but I like yours the most!

  2. Is it my imagination or you really photograph a lot of fish?

  3. Isabella — thanks for the encouragement! 🙂

Rudy — No imagination. I’m surrounded by big mouth bass! 🙂
