Railroad trestle

Filed under: Bridges, Roads, RRs & Transport — lessie @ 3:01 pm

Perhaps old, but still active railroad trestle, over state highway 29.

Maggie, with trestle just beyond, waiting patiently for me to finish photographing.

  1. I’m told railroad trestles are very dangerous because of the number of people who cross them and don’t have time to get out of the way when a train comes. In fact I remember seeing fences around some trestles in Clemson to try and keep the college kids from using them as a short cut … From a photographic standpoint I like train tracks because the do a good job of adding death to a photo.
