Foggy morning irritation

Filed under: Homes — lessie @ 3:53 am

Foggy Saturday morning. Can you see the tiny rainbow in the upper right corner? This house irritates me. Too close to my house. I wonder what the owner is waiting for. Trying to sell? I should find out the name and write a letter. Bringing down the neighborhood.

Note: this house has since been torn down! A church is going up in its place. (5/2/08)

  1. What a moody photo!

  2. Just my guess, but I bet the owner has been fighting with the city, saying “I promise, I promise, I’ll fix it up!!” If not, I’m surprised the city hasn’t taken over and demolished it. It makes a good photo subject, but not a good neighbor.

  3. Maybe one should find out the circumstances before berating the owner for “bringing down the neighbourhood” — hopefully you were being ironic rather than serious.

  4. Absentee owners often assume the “out of sight, out of mind”. Good luck!

  5. This is a good argument for zoning laws. The city of county should take position of the property and clean it up … Sorry that I sound harsh and I know it would be kind to ask about the owner’s challenges. But is this were my neighbor I would really be irritated.

  6. Ditto what Denton said! Looks like a mess.
