Downtown Fish

Filed under: Hooked on Arts — lessie @ 3:29 am

Perhaps a less dramatic fish sculpture compared to some of the others — but I love its simplicity of message and purity of detail and coloring. It’s a mini-mural of downtown Anderson, with a flag adverstising Anderon’s Soiree festival, the old courthouse, and the line of stores on the right and left. (See below.) I love the long horizontal pole holding the light — and the color patterns extending into the fish’s mouth.

  1. This is cool too!!
That means a lot of hard work, bravo for the artist!

  3. I love this Denton. I’m a big fan of public art, but add something to do with the ocean and I’m there!

Just was reviewing some old videotapes of my time in Greenwood, SC. What great memories I have….so had to come and say a special hello.
