View from Main Street bridge toward the Murray Avenue bridge. Like many cities, the railroad was integral to Anderson’s development. To me the tracks represent days gone past — even though they are still operational. I hear the train whistles often at night when I can’t sleep.

For those unfamiliar with the South, the foliage on the banks is Kuduz, killed by the frost. It will reappear this spring with a vengenance.
