Anderson Fish

Filed under: Downtown, Hooked on Arts — lessie @ 3:32 am

Anderson is committed to the revitalization of downtown — and support of the arts. Part of that effort are these delightful fish statues found sprinkled around downtown and at significant locales in the city. Fun! This sculpture has the realistic depiction of the old downtown courthouse.

You can tell from the sky that it’s a beautiful day. Global warming? I have been enjoying the sun in short sleeves. Quite a surprise when only two days from Christmas.

  1. That fish is awsome! Lovely photo and welcome to the photoblog community!

  3. Welcome to the DailyPhoto family and greetings from just down the road in Greenville, SC … I like your composition where the print on the fish is of the building in the background.

  4. Denton — Thanks so much for noticing! I tried hard with that. 🙂 I love that old courthouse. And thank you for all your encouragement and help in getting started. 🙂

  5. The fish sign is wonderful…we need something like that here…ours are elk, but not near as nice. Welcome to DP…you are gonna love it! (Where is Anderson in relationship to Greenville?)

  6. Thank you! Anderson is about 45 min. south. Not far, but far enough to have to “make a trip” to go. Look forward to seeing your elk!

  8. Wacky is a good word! 🙂 I guess they choose “fish” because Anderson is adjacent to Hartwell Lake. Thanks for your comment.
