
I wonder how many peaches they’ve given away.
This sign is a few feet from the Denver Downs produce stand, which is only 1 or 2 miles (decreasing as I type) from Anderson sprawl. An example of a city spreading its fingers into surrounding farmland. Beyond the trees in the above picture is the farm house, dating from around 1890.
Denver Downs? It’s a picturesque and historic working farm, held in the same family for over 100 years. It’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Wonder, if somebody got a free peach…
