Kuvasz

Filed under: Animals — lessie @ 2:28 pm

This is a photograph from my files. The Clemson Kennel Club hosted the above dog show in 2006 at the Anderson Fair Grounds. It was a WONDERFUL experience. I hope I see it advertized for this year so I can attend again. This sweet baby in the picture looked like a lab to me, but his owner said he is a Kuvasz, a type of European working dog.

  2. Yes, I think it’s a Hungarian breed. But it resembles my golden retriever quite a bit…
Nice shot and I hope you get to go to another dog show this year!

  8. The Kuvasz originates in Tibet. Many are from hungry and this strain may be but their origin is Tibet. I use to have a Kuvasz named Calla (white bread) She looked just like this kuvasz. A complete history can be found in the dog breed section of calmodogtraining.com
