
Wandering downtown on Saturday, I noticed this lion. Don’t know what these architectural details are called — because surely they have a name — but they are really neat. This lion is on the top corner of building in need of some TLC, or pruning at the least.
What a lovely photo and the sky is so blue. Very interesting to see this lion on the side of the building like this.

Your photograph is excellent. I don’t know about the lion for sure but would guess that it has a long rod that goes inside and serves as an anchor for the side. If ther eis more than one then I would feel better about even suggesting it. If only one then it is probably just some sort of decoration.

The lion on the building seems a European touch, don’t you think. Nice to see but a little unexpected.
