Rippled chimney

Filed under: Details, Historic District, Markers, & Flags — lessie @ 2:47 pm

The MOST unusual chimneys I have ever seen! I just stood there on the sidewalk in astonishment. Wonderful ornamentation — for the simple beauty of it, I imagine.  (There isn’t be a engineering reason, right?) The chimneys caused me to reexamine the house in general, which is quite spectacular itself.

  1. That’s my favorite house in all of Anderson! I never noticed the detail on the chimney before though since I’m usually just driving past quickly.

I love your daily photos. I wanted to start an Anderson Daily Photo myself but am too busy with work to keep it up. Glad to see someone is doing it and doing well too! :)

  2. That’s a private home? Impressive…And did you realize you made a pun with the “lantern is brilliant” ;-)

Lessie, I love the look of your blog – so clean and streamlined and crisp. Very pleasing to the eye.

  3. Details are cool. One of the things I like most about posting the daily photos is the detail I notice which I had missed before.

  5. AJ — you are so kind. Your comment made my day! And it’s good to hear from a local. :)

Isabella — I didn’t notice the pun! But my subconcience MUST have! :)

Denton — I agree. I see more than I did before.

Kris — I do that too! Take a pic of your fav — and I’ll do the same. :)

  6. Lessie, Being a local, this has been in my top five of my favorite Anderson homes for years. I have always heard that it had a garage that you drive in and the garage floor rotated and your car would be pointing out!! I love the entrances from road behind the house too.
